I started a ranting on the comments section of this article:Prostitution as violence against women

And it went a little something like this...

With regards to this section specifically

"I sincerely doubt you could find one person who has not been negatively impacted by their experiences of prostitution (whether the prostitute or the client). Certainly you will not find one whose life has been enhanced because of it."

The most negativity I have ever got is from people not involved, who know nothing - it is them negatively impacting me.
That aside, my experiences as a sex worker have greatly enhanced my life, I am open minded, I am more confident, I have much higher self esteem, I feel more valued than I ever did a corporate job, my job is to make people happy. Even with all the whorephobic and stigmatised crap these people fling that does put a damper on thins I am still overwhelmingly a better and happier person for being a sex worker.

You say you can't find one - I am one and I cant tell you now there are plenty others.

The Red Cross is doing a review of who they defer as donors. Currently sex workers, and their clients and partners are excluded for 12 months since they last engaged in sexual interactions. http://www.bloodrulesreview.com.au/

To Celeste Vinay and the review committee,

I am writing to you particularly regarding the point of emphasis that follows;

"The appropriateness of excluding current and former sex workers and the appropriate period of any exclusion."

I was a regular blood donor before I began working as a sex worker and I found the exclusion of sex workers and their clients; offensive, discriminatory and illogical.

A thread over at Funinaustralia has sparked me to write almost a novella on my hooker philosophy among other tid bits. Wow I just love waking up to links to blogs which deride my existence and feelings. [sarcasm meter alert] What is it with people who take the moral high ground in the name of social justice and openly walk all over sectors of the community at the same time? Having always got many compliments for my oral skills in both my personal and professional life, and always overcome the challenges of those who said oh I never come from Blow Jobs - I could not understand what anyone did wrong.

So I started asking - what is it other women do wrong?
The attitude was an issue and lack of variation or finesse was in there too.

Why are you giving head? Because you should? Because they would like it? Because you were asked?

WRONG

You should be doing it because you want to. The why you may want to could vary, but for me I like to show off, I like the power trip, I can have a man quivering, staring at me open-mouthed with a mixed look of disbelief, frustration and ecstasy. I know this is my best way to provide pleasure. I feel like the star of the show, I'll make the porno faces and watch him record them for later - I know he will remember how sexy I looked doing that, I like to be remembered.

Perhaps a blow job should be foreplay - but I think often for me it is the main course - and the rest an encore, perhaps many curtain calls to a standing ovation that cannot be denied.

Last few months been a bit of a downer. My husband got fired without warning a few moths back. Since he was on a sponsored business visa, he had to apply for another visa or leave country in 28 days. So we put in a spouse visa application, having been married over 12 months already. Seems they liked him, and not so much me. Requiring more business docs from me and a statutory declaration describing my previous de facto relationships and why they ended to prove i wasn't just relationship hopping and that this would last.

Later on however, after giving all the extra documents required it seemed that everything still wasn't right. The case manager had issues with my career choice, and if it effected the genuine nature of our relationship - since it isn't sexually exclusive. We opted to provide further statutory declarations justifying why my career doesn't prevent our relationship from being genuine to save potentially requiring another interview and their judgement becoming a turn down and us having to appeal.

They recently came to their senses and the first part of the visa has now been granted normal life may resume. A huge emotional weight has been listed. It's very stressful to feel judged for your life in a way you haven't before, and for someone else to get to decide if you are genuinely in love or not.

I keep thinking i should wait to blog til I have something suitably fantastically interesting to write about, but then it takes over 6 months and well yeah, that is kinda crap. Thus I decided I would just sit down and have a bit of a yap.

End of last year - other than the tours and Scarlet Alliance Annual forum - was reasonably uneventful.

I did get a new camera for my birthday though here are some random shots taken with it...

The friendly guys over at Sex Machines Australia have had a bit of a thing going with a record for the number of women to orgasm at one event without being hypnotised or touched sexually. Thursday, when Sexpo opened their little running total scoreboard said 0 for Sydney Sexpo. I had to help them with that, I got a certificate for my "trouble" and we took a bunch of photos for proof.

In case you hadn't spoken to me somewhat recently on msn, or follow me on facebook, I thought I'd tell you about my weddings. Yup, I had 2 of them and both to the same person, well technically the second one was just a restatement of vows but it was only a month later so it's close enough.

I went in Mardi Gras parade and whilst there were many many many cameras I haven't found hardly any pictures of myself around the place online, but have found plenty of our section. Once again I have left my blog unattended to, I'm such a naughty girl I will have to be punished. But before the sadists of you start reaching for your tools there is once again good reason, I get busy :)

Christmas, new year, wedding plans, bookings computer games......
Yep you heard it right, I'm getting hitched, but don't panic I'll not be disappearing again my career is here to stay for the foreseeable future.

I am in this month's (March issue since they bring it out a month early) Cosmopolitan magazine if you happen to be in a newsagent or a waiting room that has it, it has a pink cover. Unfortunately I didn't get a blurb on the cover, but I got a mention in the contents listing and a nice shiny 2 page detailed interview. Some of the details included seem a little not quite as a remember saying but generally it's not a bad piece. I promise to get round to scanning and uploading it at some point in the future.

In Monday's MX you may have seen, if you accepted one of these papers handed to you at a Sydney train station, there was an interview with me published. The article was almost half a page in size you can click the above thumnail to see a large version or click the more to see a medium sized version and my original replies as it was slightly shortened.

I've been quiet as I have been recovering yet again. As the sage of my injuries continues - I decided to take myself off the hard core pain killers - cold turkey. I got fed up with the side effects, not the weight loss, but the digestive upset, always feeling nauseous but mostly struggling to orgasm, I'd get really really close and hardly ever get there and even when I did it was kinda painful. So I ripped off the painkiller patch and didn't put another on.

Also APEC long weekend we decided to escape the 24 hour chopper patrol. It's hard to sleep with all that noise and searchlights flashing about. Details and pictures from the trip also in the full entry.

I went to Hellfire and took some pictures of me dressed up before this time. I was trying out a new kinda 1950's look. The night was fairly normal, well as normal as hellfire gets. But with the no smoking inside laws I was standing outside in the alley topless smoking. The pictures are below in the full length entry.
