The Red Cross is doing a review of who they defer as donors. Currently sex workers, and their clients and partners are excluded for 12 months since they last engaged in sexual interactions.

I am writing to you particularly regarding the point of emphasis that follows;
"The appropriateness of excluding current and former sex workers and the appropriate period of any exclusion." I was a regular blood donor before I began working as a sex worker and I found the exclusion of sex workers and their clients; offensive, discriminatory and illogical.
